Evaluation Support for the Voluntary Sector

WIHSC are specialists in project evaluation and are experienced within the field of health and social care. We have a track record of almost 20 years of working together with the Third Sector in Wales. We undertake high quality research and evaluation which is meaningful and useful to you.

Our work aims to bridge the divide between practice and policy, providing you with good quality reports and data which you can use to influence policy and to attract further project funding. Grant makers and commissioners are increasingly recognising the value of independent evaluation, and are often happy to fund this. Independent evaluation support typically costs between 5-10% of your total project funding.

WIHSC has a long track record of working with charities. For example, we are currently supporting seven projects funded by the BIG Lottery in Wales. Amongst others, we have worked with:

  • Councils for Voluntary Service
  • Tenovus
  • Age Connects/Age Concern and Age Cymru
  • British Red Cross
  • Macmillan Cancer Support

We can work with you at any stage, from developing your proposal and putting in an application for funding, to supporting you as you deliver and monitor your projects. We provide a valued independent, academic and objective perspective.

We will work alongside you and your teams so you can benefit from our up to date knowledge, our wideranging experience, and our innovative and creative methods. We can also provide training to your teams and volunteers.
