With 2020 Vision: lessons for health, care and well-being: supplying medicines

Reflect on the current circumstances that we are facing, and what this might mean for the future of health, care and well-being, WIHSC is producing a series of short papers ahead of its 25th ‘birthday’ in November 2020. Each in the series bring to light issues that are remarkable, worthy of note and which need to be considered. None of us knows yet what the lasting significance of some of these issues will be, but we hope that these contributions will allow us to think through the longer-term implications of the things that are happening now.

In this third paper, Jeremy Felvus, one of our Visiting Fellows, considers the impact of COVID-19 on the pharmaceutical supply chain, and the supply of NHS prescription medicines.
