With 2020 Vision: social care

Ahead of its 25th ‘birthday’ in November 2020, WIHSC is producing a series of short papers that reflect on the current circumstances that we are facing, and what this might mean for the future of health, care and well-being. Each in the series will reflect on things that seem remarkable to us – in the sense that they are things that are worthy of note and should be remarked upon. None of us knows yet what the lasting significance of some of these issues will be, but we hope that these contributions will allow us to question the longer-term implications of the things that are happening now.

In this second paper, one of our Visiting Professors, Tony Garthwaite, focuses on social care.
